Sometimes it is difficult to fasten drywall securely at joints. I cut small squares from 1mm corrugated PVC roofing to secure the edges. Idealy these squares could be injection moulded with a countersink but these clips have held well on a ceiling for ten years.
Could not find information on making these shock cord rings in my old or new aircraft mechanic books or on the internet. Came up with this technique for rings to mount a surfboard rack and board to an ICE Adventure recumbent tricycle. Rack shown at ridetoride.net
Because aluminum irrigation pipe is difficult to repair and horses are prone to kick the pipe. Gheen irrigation in Eugene Oregon made some special bell ends for 2mm thick 20 foot lengths of 3 inch semi ridgid PVC pipe. Assembly and repair can be made without special tools. The pipe was used for nearly 10 years at pressure up to 40 psi. To add stiffness for moving the pipe internal ribs could be added.
The single rail loading ramp allows rolling a trike or velomobile into a van, pick up, or SUV safely. The first ramp was 3/4 plywood with 1/4 plywood side rails. The plywood at top and bottm prevents twisting. The hole with the hair pin clip prevents the ramp from falling off the vehicle especially when unloading. A round door catch would require a round hole. The ramp pictured is made with rails from ATOC (makers of DraftMaster carriers). In a tall vehicle bicycles can be rolled in too.

1 3/4” square or 2” round Tubes with 5/16” holes drilled and nuts welded over the holes can be compression bolted to T-posts giving secure moveable mounts for various applications. Pictured are a gate keypad mount, anchor for a fabric shelter, a fence end with welded cross members to prevent twist, racks to hold portable corrals, fencing, irrigation pipe and etc. The method allows easy height adjustment and avoids the need for a post in concrete. Especially helpful for fence ends are the double post with welded horizontal tubes. 5/16 nuts and bolts were used on these posts and mounts. Click on the shelter hold down photo for the best detail of the clamp bolt.
Two pieces of 2 mm vinyl cut to shape, keyed hole slot cut to hold screw in rod ends. Vinyl is heated until soft along line to be folded. Vinyl folded to proper angle and cooled. Vinyl brackets slide over door trim.
1/2” birch plywood bored to fit curtain rod end, hole edges were eased as well as outer edges of plywood keeper. The spring rod has never fallen out of position since instalation of the end keepers.
